Training Needs Analysis

Working in partnership with you, David Couper Associates assesses the needs of your organization. We collect information about your employee and manager training needs through a variety of research-gathering tools:

- One-on-one interviews with stakeholders
- Focus groups with management and selected employees
- Telephone, paper-based and electronic surveys
- Analysis of industry and company data

Armed with this information, a company gets a clear picture of what is needed to develop their human capital. For many organizations, this can be the first time they have a clear understanding of their company’s strengths and challenges.

David Couper Associates can complete a needs analysis for the whole organization or a selected division.

Training Strategy

After we have completed a training needs analysis, David Couper Associates partners with the executive and management team to determine how the company will address the identified training needs. This will include:

- Prioritizing training needs
- Creating a time schedule
- Developing an effective budget
- Selecting internal and external training resources
- Preparing an implementation schedule

Training Design

David Couper has experience over his twenty-year career in designing cost effective, motivating, and creative training using a variety of traditional and high-tech delivery methods.

Training solutions include:

- Classroom Delivery
Training for sessions from one hour to one week. Services include developing training manuals, train-the-trainer sessions, and coaching to make the training experience effective.

- Self-Study
Paper-based training that a user can study at their own pace.

- Online Training
Training that is delivered through the internet, an intranet, or other technology such as CD Rom.

- Blended Learning
A combination of traditional and technology-based training. For example online training as pre-work for classroom delivery.

- Events
Meetings or seminars for small or large groups.

David Couper can also support your delivery and roll-out including advising on the most cost-effective methods to meet your needs. Services include:

- Training your employees to deliver the training solutions, through train-the-trainer sessions, detailed instructor guides, and onsite coaching.
